Flying Fisherman® Adds New Styles to Action Angler Series
Triacetate Lenses Are Hard Coated For Less Scratching
Islamorada, Florida Keys -- December 2006. Flying Fisherman® introduced several new styles for 2007 with TAC (Triacetate Cellulose) lenses, formulated for superior visual clarity. Triacetate is a very rigid lens material, helping to retain base curves, with superior lamination qualities and twice the scratch resistance of 1.1mm plastic. TAC is also shrink resistant, holds color better, absorbs less moisture which adds haze, and blocks 100% of all UV rays up to 400nm. The result is a lightweight, scratch resistant, optically correct lens that’s hard coated, impact resistant, and polarized, featuring the Flying Fisherman® AcuTint™ Color System for true color perception.
One of four new Action Angler styles is the Antigua, blending classic aviator styling with functional, polarized sport fishing optics. This updated, traditional frame style offers awesome coverage, with recessed nose pads and lightweight polycarbonate frames weighing in at only 0.9 ozs. It’s available in Matte Black frames with Smoke AcuTint™ lenses or Dark Tortoise with AcuTint™ Amber lenses.
Also new for 2007 is the San Jose, which offers great looks and functionality both on and off the water, with nickel silver frames, spring loaded temples, comfort-grip nose pads, and extended temple pads. Lenses are 8 base, 59mm, and they’re available in Gun Metal with Smoke AcuTint™ lenses or Matte Copper frames with AcuTint™ Amber lenses.

TAC Polarized Lenses Offer Better Optics
Islamorada, Florida Keys -- October 2006. Flying Fisherman® is pleased to introduce new styles for 2007 which feature TAC (Triacetate Cellulose) lenses, formulated for superior visual clarity. The lens material is very rigid to retain base curves and remain stable. It has superior lamination qualities, twice the scratch resistance of 1.1mm plastic, holds scratch coatings better, and withstands heat very well. TAC is also shrink resistant, holds color, absorbs less moisture which adds haze, and blocks 100% of all UV rays up to 400nm.
Our AcuTint™ Polarized Lens Color System combined with hard coated TAC premium lenses equals scratch and impact resistance, true color perception and maximum UV protection. The result is lightweight, optically correct sun lenses for excellent fishability.
One of several new styles for 2007 is the St. Martin, which features stylish, nickel silver frames, adjustable nose pads, and AcuTint™ polarized lenses with an 8 base curve and 58mm width. The St. Martin weighs just 0.9 ozs, and they’re available in Matte Gunmetal frames with smoke lenses and in Matte Copper with amber lenses.
The semi-rimless look of the Fathom is designed around a super-lightweight polycarbonate frame that provides maximum wrap around coverage and has padded temple tips and non-slip nose pads. This trendy style is exceptionally lightweight at only 0.6 ozs., and lenses measure 62mm with an 8 base curve. Frame colors are Matte Black with AcuTint™ smoke lenses and Tortoise with AcuTint™ amber lenses.

Vented, non-slip nose pads, grip-tip temples and Grilamid TR90 frames help produce total comfort for extended wear.

Flying Fisherman® Adds 15 New T-Shirt Designs
A Totally New Look
Islamorada, Florida Keys, July 2006. With the reality of a digital world, Flying Fisherman® wanted to explore the computer art segment of the design industry and generate a look that wasn’t out there yet. “We researched the concept and came up with a fantastic digital artist that communicates our design ideas in a way that will add a totally new look to our Native Angler T-shirt Collection”, said company president Pat Sheldon.
Flying Fisherman® will launch 12 designs in the new Native Angler “Chasin’ Lures” Collection on colored, 100% cotton tees that depict game fish reacting to artificial lures. The game fish chasin’ the lure is screen printed on the back of the garment, with the lure and title of the design reproduced on the front left chest. The collection includes Dolphin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Striped Bass, Redfish, Snook and Tarpon for saltwater, and Walleye, Rainbow and Brown Trout, Bass for fresh water.
Three additional new designs have also been added to the original Native Angler Collection on pigment dyed, 100% cotton tees. A King Salmon, Coho Salmon and Albacore Tuna round out the series of 42 detailed game fish species on freestyle, colorful backgrounds.
